Sashiko Quilting……

The beauty of Sashiko quilting and folded fabric flowers, or anything that adds 3-D to a quilt, has intrigued me for a long time. This small wall quilt was an ideal project to try this technique. Although this is usually done ‘by hand’, I went at this with a “how can this successfully transition to machine” approach. It turned out quite well, I think. I used Sulky’s ‘Sliver’ to do the quilting, which is very minimal and striking on the black background. Definitely something I will do again!!And here is the whole picture:Have a great Saturday!!!
