This little project will be a gift for some friends from the UK who are coming to the states to attend Daytona Bike Week. We will be joining them for a few days toward the end of the event. Their house rental is for the month of March so we have a bit of flexibility as to timing (one of the “perks” of retirement!!!). The butterfly fabric is “Nature’s
Elements” by Hoffman and the pattern is a web bonus pattern from McCall’s Quilting in Mar/April 2010. I quilted it with a metallic thread from Sulky. I haven’t bound it, yet, and the “grid” stitching that shows is water soluble thread that holds the 3 layers together until it is completed and washed in cold water when the top thread dissolves and releases the bobbin thread for removal. This is the method I use on all my quilt projects. Will bind this in the morning then on to the next little gift/project.
