Another t-shirt quilt……

The second t-shirt quilt I have made found its home in our little 5th wheel camper. The 1st quilt was a QAYG. I thought about how heavy a quilt like this is and had decided to quilt it in smaller segments, thinking it would be easier. It was, somewhat, but the final joining was not something I wanted to repeat. This one has a floral lattice/borders and gives a great contrast to the “biker” shirts. The quilting process went very well, even though this quilt was a double bed size-much larger than the first lap sized quilt. I cut/saved the tags and some of the sleeves that had a unique logo. Some of the shirts had almost a “rubberized” design applied that sent my machine into fits. Other than that there were no problems. The ‘piano key’ border quilting was a bit tedious but fit well with the overall design. Definitely kept us cozy last Sept. in the Black Hills of South Dakota!
