Finally finished…..

I have had such fun with this project…a huge “Thank you, Leah”!! I am so impressed by the successes being posted/linked on her site by each one who participated. This little quilt will be a table topper for me, a constant reminder of how spending a little time daily on a new skill will bring such a great result! There is a bit more texture due to my use of a cotton pique I had in my stash from many years ago. It worked up nicely and I am pleased. Be sure to stop by and check out what the others have created and linked to Leah’s post today and previous Wednesdays. A very productive day: fresh bed linen (hung outside) on the bed, sourdough bread out of the oven, grandson’s jeans mended (both were on the losing end of a meet-up with a chainsaw), and this little quilt bound. On to the next quilt…….

I love your quilt and the puffy heart. It looks ‘amazing’. You have done a really great job on it.

It was quite a stretch for me as ‘micro-stippling’ was not something that I would have tried on my own. Ended up to be quite a few of us that did the quilt-along with Leah Day (there’s a link in my whole cloth quilt posts)! Am looking forward to doing more of it!!! So thrilled you “found me”!!!

  2. Wow! Your quilting is gorgeous. Thank you for sharing 🙂

I am so thrilled you stopped by!! I am hopelessly ‘addicted’ to this and even hubby is being drawn in (spots quilt shops even before I do or even when I don’t!). Love your site and look forward to future posts! Super hugs your way!! Doreen

  3. It looks wonderful:-)Hugs Jofrid

Hello, Jofrid! Thank you so much for the kind words! Those encouragements have kept me moving forward throughout this project (my ‘stubbornness’ wouldn’t even have been enough!LOL!). I, now, truly love it and am anxious to utilize some of what I learned in a waiting project. Have a wonderful day! Hugs, Doreen

Lovely quilt! Congratulations, and thank you for sharing your journey in Quilt along wednesdays!

    • treadlemusic says:

You are all very welcome, Mary. It became something I would have never done without the wonderful teaching/leadership of Leah Day and the encouraging support of the others who accepted the challenge. The things learned from Leah and each other will serve to make each of us better quilters in our future projects. So glad you stopped by! Hugs, Doreen

Your quilt looks awesome. Love the flowers on top of it :-). Nice touch to the wonderful quilt, reminds that spring is here 🙂

    • treadlemusic says:

Ah, Spring! Your thoughts are exactly what I felt when I saw the setting sun coming through my living-room window! Today is “picture perfect” @ 61F, sunny and almost calm winds. No sewing today!!! (Sigh) Hugs, Doreen

This is so pretty. And your stippling is so tiny!! Great job!

  7. Your finished wholecloth is beautiful! The puff of the hearts makes it so dramatic. Great work!
