I am totally convinced it’s a texture thing!! This dense quilting is so visually ‘tactile’ that I am absolutely driven to do more of it!! But for today, this finish…………

Just gorgeous, Doreen. And you will be SO pleased with our new machine. Be aware that tension on it is quite unlike a domestic sewing machine — make sure your dealer gives you a couple of hours of training before you bring your new baby home. Especially training on tension, otherwise you will get very frustrated with your first attempts.
So noted! Have been using my Juki TL2010Q exclusively these last months. Awesome machine for FMQ…….The tension set-up on that one is like the ones I used at the Company Store (catalog/retail comforters & quilts, etc). The dealer is so new that they are scheduled for detailed schooling in November! They have already informed me that there will be a “one on one” training available either in my home or at the shop. Have used the machine in several different venues and have been totally comfortable with it immediately……I think that’s because of the Juki usage all this time.
yes, I’m loving the background filler also. Great work. Imagine how fab your work will be with that new machine!
Have connected with the dealer…..machine is there and we will pick it up on this Tuesday!! Until then–trying to “square away”/shovel out! the area it will occupy in my sewing room! How can so much “stuff” be crammed in to such a small space I’ll never figure out!!!! Onward…………….
It’s beautiful! I love your quilting. And yes, I want to touch it!
That’s the huge downside to this bloggy thingl…….I want to “reach out and touch”!!!! LOL!
I like the background on this one as opposed to stippling. Looks great!!
That’s exactly the way I feel, also! The stippling will always have its spots to be used but, now, I’ve found so many other patterns that texturize so beautifully!!
Beautiful! Congrats on the finish.
One more done….so many speaking to me from the ‘wings’…..hehe!
Wow… This is just gorgeous, and it’s a practice piece! Dang. That’s all I can say…
It kinda “loosens up the joints” when I get ready for quilting on something larger. These smaller pieces get so layered with thread sometimes that I just throw them after a while. I know some have put them together as “orphan” blocks but by the time I’m done with ’em it’s best that they go away!!!! LOL!
I’d be a good friend and take one off your hands… (Generous of me, eh?! LOL!)
Well, maybe we can work something out!?! Hmmm?
Hmmm… What do you have in mind?
Well, let’s see, if there is to be some type of creative follow-up, I would need: your complete name, address, etc. Possible???????

You are incredibly talented. I may have said that already in a previous comment. But so true.
And “addicted & obsessed”……a ‘black/white’ kind of gal! Just ask DH!! Thank you for your sweet words!!
This is beautiful. Wow, what nice work.
Thanks, JoAnn! Still waiting on the new machine. Long story!!!! Glad you stopped by………
Beautiful! You do such great work! Love the Banana’s too!!
Karen
And bananas are so good for us! Hehe!

Am pleased. Shifted gears and got binding on 2 QOV quilts yesterday afternoon. 1 more to go this morning….then on to 2 UFOs…….
