This QOV top was made by Yvonne, a member of the larger quilt group I belong to. She is one active lady who can think of more ways to use fabric than any other I know. Her “Starburst” (my name for this) is described/pictured here. She always has at least one of these tops/flimsies ready to be quilted each month when we get together. The piecing is perfect and the theme is, well, I’ll let the quilt speak for itself……..
And, of course, I can’t forget a “back” view!……..
I used my favorite ‘paisley’ motif, with a simple 4 petal flower in the center of the “Friendship Star” and straight-line stitching in the star points. Was totally a fun quilt. Yvonne will bind it and a pillowcase will be used to keep it ready until presented to a member of the military. Until next time….
Your quilting is stunning! Well done!
Well, Hello!!!!! and thank YOU so much!!!! Things back to “normal” on your end??? Had to order another light ring last week…..LEDs fading fast!!! Ms. Sweetie stitching beautifully, though, and I’m lovin’ it!!!!! Hugs…..D

I continue to be impressed with the incredible talent within your quilting family. This one is particularly stunning and with that message, the best.
That message is what we all are in desperate need of acknowledging in this current state of affairs!!!
Such a gorgeous quilt with those rich reds and blues. The quilting is devine! Avis x
Thank you so much! It was one of those quilts that was inspirational to do!
Aww, I love that one.
Thank you, Gloria! I’m thinkin’ we will have to do coffee after Easter, hmmmmm? Hugs, D
Your quilting is stunning!!! It really sets off the quilt! You’re just too good my friend!
I do thank you for the compliment and remind you that we each have our favorite “thing” to do and because it brings great joy to us, it is done repeatedly and the skill level increases. I do so enjoy the stitching and so admire your piecing skill!!!! You are one talented lady!! Your comments bring joy to my heart!!! Hugs, D
Ah shucks… You’re too kind!
Awwwww shucks…..so are you:-b
This quilt has it all! Lovely!
It really does! Yvonne really “nailed it” with her piecing!!! Added bonus……totally square and accurately pieced…..made for such pleasurable quilting!!!!!
The quilts are absolutely beautiful! The purpose is a very caring and the gift of giving. Paisley Prints are always such a pretty print, imprint, and markings. Thanks for sharing. Be Blessed, Mtetar
Have a wonderful weekend!!!
You do the same as well. Mtetar
Thank you for always leaving just the kindest comments on my blog!! I appreciate your words more than you can know!! The quilting on this is just lovely….what a beautiful quilt this is. 🙂
But Val……you make it so easy!!!!! Thanks so much for “popping by”. This quilt stitching ‘thing’ is truly an addiction for me….but, it does keep me out of trouble (for the most part!!!! LOL!). Blessings……
Amazing! You must really love quilting all those beautiful quilts. It must be so much fun.
I sorta get “lost” when I start!! Just as DH……I kinda crawl in to my quilting world of stitching…….My Ms.Sweetie (HQ Sweet Sixteen) has been a huge blessing. I still quilt on my Juki TL2010Q and have fun (mostly micro-stippling). Both are super machines for me. Thanks for your encouraging words. Have a great weekend!! Blessings, Doreen
Love love this beauty. That paisley 4 petal mix is just beautiful.
Thanks so much, Ani! It is a totally relaxing, get-lost-in-it pattern! I can appear to be somewhat of a feather motif, also. See ya (relatively) soon!!! Hugs, D
