Well, after last Monday’s workshop, I had several/many demo blocks left. These could easily become “orphan” blocks if I didn’t get hustling and do something while I had some forward momentum. So, last Wednesday was “just do it” day and……yup…..I did it!! Not only is it pieced, but it’s quilted, bound and labeled!! I even impressed myself!! Here are the photos to ‘prove’ it……….
The last 2 photos are of the back and 4 blocks that just couldn’t find a place on the top. Using Sharon Schamber’s method of basting the layers together really allows me to place blocks on the back on-grain, centered and straight. Love that method!!! On to the next quilt……………
Very beautiful. I do love Your photos. Now it is published my newest quilting post.
Thank you, Matti. On my way to check out your post……..
It is amazing what you can do with left overs!!! Looks great. I really like the back too. Those little stars in the corners are cute and look so good with the quilting you have chosen. Well done yet again.
Thank you so much, Lin! Great to “see” you again! Hugs, Doreen
Wow! You go girl!!! Your quilting is just awesome!!! You are such an inspiration!
We each have our “forte” and I sure know yours!!!!!!! I so appreciate your kind words!!! Hugs, Doreen
Great job! It looks wonderful! I love the quilting as much as the dugn. Glad it is ready to go. -Jeanne
It really turned out so well and I am very happy not to have any orphan blocks from this project! The weather seems to be turning….finally. I hate it that the river is so high and there’s so much snow left up stream! Hope all’s going well for you! Hugs, Doreen
Well done you, Just Do It Girl!!! I don’t know that method of Sharon Schamber’s – do you have a link? Thanks D. x
Absolutely! Part 1 and Part 2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bhwNylePFAA and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k_EjBGz5vGQ If you have any questions just let me know!
Your work always makes me smile. 🙂 LOVELY.
Thank you, dear bloggy friend! Always so nice to see your cheerful smile ‘pop’ up on my blog!! Hugs, D
thank you for your patience that it’s not showing up more often!
But you are back!!!?!!! And I couldn’t be happier!
I am always part of your “team” – it’s just that often my partnership is delayed. 🙂 I have no idea how to balance my life.
Balance…..did you say balance?!? I would be the absolute last person to talk about that!!! Black or white/full steam ahead or dead stop/totally focused or scattered!!! That’s me!! If you figure out the “balance” thing….puh-leeze! let me know!!! LOL! Hugs, D
LOL!!
Yup! The truth is definitely comical! LOl!
This is so lovely Doreen! I knew it was your quilt in the reader even before I saw your name. You’ve carved out a very distinguishable style 🙂 Gorgeous quilting as always! Avis x
Wow! Your comment has really gave me “food for thought”! I hadn’t thought about that ‘style’ aspect. Thank you so much, Avis….Blessings, Doreen
Beautiful quilt! And great to see all that amazing quilting!
I so love the stitching part……but I so love the piecing part…and, I love………IT ALL!!!! Thanks for the super kind words, Dearheart! Hugs, Doreen
I agree! I am the same way there isn’t any step of the quilt making process which I don’t love.

How beautiful! You are so so so very talented!!!
Thanks so much, Beth Ann. I wanted to make good use of the leftover blocks so challenged myself on this one. It was really fun to make AND quilt!!! Blessings ………
I bet!!! You are so inspiring!!
Such a very kind word…”inspiring”. At times, though, DH feels “obsessed” (vs. “passionate”-LOL!) would be more apt!! Have a great day, Dear! Hugs…..
Well, see what you can do even with left-overs. There is no end to your talent.
Trying to keep ahead of the “stash build-up”….LOL! Thanks for the kind words!!!
