Wandering the Black Hills……..

Once again and lovin’ it!! Last eve found us at the top of Spearfish Canyon (just outside Lead, SD) for one of our “must have” meals……the fabulous Indian Taco at the Cheyenne Crossing Café. It is just one of those things that, until you have one, canNOT be totally described…or appreciated. The menu offers a full and snack sized version and, as you can see in the photos to follow, it is really difficult to see the difference. In fact, when the waitress brought them, I thought there must have been a mistake!!!!photo (2)   Underneath all that taco deliciousness is a light pillow of Indian fry bread. Amazing!!! I wrote of the breakfast version here, where it is served with a small bowl of cream cheese frosting which smoothly melts into the warm fry bread……heaven!!!!

Anyhow, I really thought that I might need some type of container to relocate any remaining tidbits, but……………photo (3)   Yes, that IS an empty plate!!!! Once again, I have saved the environment from another take-home container……always thinking “green”…..hehe! And now, on to my Saturday morning “trunk show and demo” at the quilt shop in Belle Fourche. Photos to follow soon. Have a great weekend!!

The trunk show/demo was awesome. 7 gals seated plus others who stopped by. Such fun. I took the full 2 hours!!!! Nothing like the “gift of gab” being put to ‘good’ use!! LOL!
