Thanks so much for the greeting…….I just passed it along!!! And he is a very kind man! The bottle holder is so gorgeous “in person”. I’ll try to get a better photo! Hugs……

Give the birthday boy our best wishes on his big 70th.!! You sure do have very cute great granddaughters, too. I guess we might have to make our own party this year since there are no longer drivers at TRW.

DH says “Thanks”! I was just talking to him about that. I think we know each other well enough to do just that!!! We have to continue “the tradition” in some form, don’t we???? I think the guys are doing coffee again in a few weeks (when I’m doing piano at the hospital), so will ask him to bring it up.

As has already been said, he does look a kind man. I suspect he is a lot of fun too. Once again congratulations for his Birthday he certainly does not look 70.

  11. Happy birthday to DH, who looks a mighty young 70. Never would guess that.

Thanks for sharing those photos of your beautiful family, including cuties Payten and Paige.

Your son is one talented sculptor. You ought to show us more of his work. Hint. Hint.

In photo #3, those curtains look like the ones in my living room, purchased several years ago from JCP.

    • treadlemusic says:

You are the “eagle eye”. They are in DIL’s home and she did purchase them at JCP!!!!!!! And, yes, DS #2 is extremely talented and seems to be able to do whatever his creative mind comes up with. He finished the motorcycle (started years ago) that he built “from the ground up”. Did all the wiring, painting, etc…..gorgeous! ‘Cuz he needed something economical to get to work with! He really amazes me/us!!!!! We had a great party!!!!!

      • Well, then, your DIL and I have great taste, right? Actually, it took me some time to adjust to those patterned curtains because I am typically a plain Jane window treatment kind of person. But I decided I needed a change.

Well, you have one creative DS #2 then. Did you see the segment on 60 Minutes where a craftsman in Paraguay made instruments (violins, guitars, drums, etc.) from trash pulled from the dump? It was incredible and I was crying by the end of that piece. Now the kids who play those instruments are on world-wide tour.

        • treadlemusic says:

I did see that segment and I was teary-eyed, also. Especially when they started receiving the beautiful new instruments that came in as donations. And it started with one person’s vision/dream that saw beyond current circumstances. I’m sure there were many who said it couldn’t be done!!!!!!

  12. Happy birthday to your DH. Looks like a fun time was had by all. Look at those little cuties 🙂

  13. Valerie says:

I never in a million years would have guessed it – happy birthday!! 🙂
