When outside my window looks like this………….. And this……………………………………
Then my design wall must have this…………………..
Brilliant, sunny and happy!! I decided I needed to piece something that is the total opposite of the days we’ve been experiencing so I put a few other things aside, dug into my stash of waiting projects and pulled these fabrics out. Most of them are from Connecting Threads. They’ve been waiting awhile. The pattern is from the “Take Five” line of patterns called “Teacher’s Pet”. I first saw it done when I quilted this quilt for a friend last year. I might even do the same quilting motif as I did then. It may be very wintery outside but inside the sun is shining!!!!!
I must admit I’m loving the view from your window; saying that, I can imagine cabin fever has already set in! And here we had 80+ and this same time last week it was freezing…so go figure. Love the new fabrics and yes, I’ve done that same pattern; in fact, the donation quilts our quilting bee are doing, we’re using this pattern. Good pattern
It is a marvelous pattern After doing several quilt jobs on projects using this pattern, I finally got around to doing one. I have fabric for another, so may just have to do a repeat!!!! Thanks for you visit!!!!! Hugs……………….
Thank you.
🙂
Absolutely what I needed to see–sunshine on this gloomy and snowy day.
Number 2 daughter texted from Wisconsin this a.m. that she had gone in the ditch. A later call revealed that she hit an icy patch on a rural road, skidded, spun into the oncoming lane of traffic and landed in the ditch. She and the car are apparently OK. Praise God for no oncoming vehicles, the telephone pole on the OTHER side of the road and no roll-over. On mornings like this, it’s tough being 300 miles away from her.
I can only say that I so totally understand……hugs and prayers…………………….
Looks great Doreen! With that white scene outside, I’m happy to see that you created your own sunshine! Hugs! x Teje
A gal’s gotta do what a gal’s gotta do!!!!!!!! Hehehe!
You know… from my laptop view it is beautiful outside your window. 🙂 Then again, I’ve never lived in long term snow such as yours. Beautiful colors on your wall though. Glad you found a way to have fun. Enjoy your day.
I have had a great sewing day but DH has spent too much time plowing!!!!! The snow has finally quit!!!! Sigh!!!!
wow loving the look of this……. you created a perfect anti winter quilt! 🙂
“Anti-winter”…….PERFECT!!!!!!! LOL! Hugs…………………
Love winter scenes but I must admit I am tired of them. Your design wall is a wonderful alternative! The Take Five pattern is a great for a scrappy look.
I’ve not done one before……..it is so quick (once the fabrics are layered and squared up). I’ll be making more for sure!!! Now, off to find some backing for it…….
If the sun won’t shine in by itself, a person just has to fake it! Excellent.
Dear Beth……..I couldn’t agree more!!!!!!!! LOL!
Amazing my dear!! And your wally is so FASHIONABLE!!!!! 😘😘😘
Why, thank you , sweetie!!! It’s so much better to gaze upon than the “snow globe”-like storm that is in progress!!! Sigh………………………
