Click on any of the photos for a better look. The “Gypsy” quilt fabric has been mightily depleted!!!! Just a few scraps for a future “string” quilt, perhaps!!!!! Yay!!!!! I used Isacord 40 wt poly thread on the top and Connecting Threads Essential Pro poly thread in the bobbin (‘zero’ lint!!!!!!).

Tomorrow, another finish!!!!! Til then………………………….

Love the feathers Doreen – you are so talented in doing those. I’m still struggling with mine…one of these times I’ll make it. Did you take a lesson or just practice? Whomever receives these table runners will be extremely pleased!

I watched videos and scrutinized Wendy Sheppard’s “Thread Talk” posts on her blog (Ivory Spring). I drew them a lot on a dry erase board. Another fabulous resource is Jamie Wallen’s YouTube videos (ex: Check it out. The angle you return to the spine is CRITICAL to the final look!!!!! Let me know if you have questions…….

Fabulous. They make me smile so I will keep having a sneaky look at them. Those fabrics are wonderful together and rounded off with the feather quilting, what else could anyone wish for in such a thoughtful gift?

  9. Feather heaven , that’s what you have created!

  10. You’re finished with these already? Like you just started. I really do like this Bohemian style print. There’s something intriguing about the thought of being a gypsy. Well done, my friend.
