Current (in process) QOV quilting…………
Just finishing up the outside borders. A beautifully made quilt, Yvonne. She is a member of the larger group I belong to and this will be donated to the QOV program (one of many she has made!).
The rest of the week takes me away from my sewing so, just a reminder, don’t forget to make a comment on Monday’s post for a chance to win one of the mug rugs I showed. This is open to all my readers…in the U.S. and elsewhere!!!!!
It is just fabulous!
I am pleased with the results, too. I have a lot of freedom when I do a QOV (there’s no payment so I can do anything!!!!!). Thank you for your kind words. Hugs…………
This is looking awesome! Both the quilt pattern and the quilting on it. I wonder how you pieced these lovely stars. Curious mind wants to know.
I would tell you but I canNOT take the credit for it!! A gal (Yvonne) who belongs to the same quilt guild I do did it as one of her many QOV creations she has done. I do all the quilting for the QOV quilts the group does. I will ask her what pattern she used, though!!! It has been questioned by others, too!
Thank you,Doreen! I just saw a free pattern similar to this on Craftsy.com by During the quilt time. But I would still be curious to the pattern on your quilt.
On it!!!!! Stay tuned…………………………
Great quilt and fab quilting!
Thank you, dear Friend!!!!!!
As beautiful as the sky. Be Blessed, Mtetar
Many thanks and hugs………………………
Well this is just beautiful!
Thank you so much!!!!!!!
Rosemary B here:
This is beautiful! Love the colors.
This is such a great project that so many of you talented quilters are involved in. I just know it is an honor to make such a quilt for some one that served our great nation.
My new Son in Law is not military. He is working for SIGAR and will go to Afghanistan for one month, in two weeks. My stomach churns the whole time he is there, and we pray daily for his safety.
Thank you for sharing thiis today
You are very welcome. Our #2 son was in the Persian Gulf during that war. Sitting on a boat filled with Marines as our shells whistled over their heads in order to clear the beaches. I can totally understand your fears. Hugs and prayers……………………….
Every time I see one of these QOV quilts, I get emotional thinking of those who served and those who are serving.
My brother-in-law is about to be deployed to Afghanistan…
Prayers for him and for those left behind and waiting…………
Thank you, Doreen. We’ve been praying for Neil, his wife and young son daily.
Oh goodness–the blue is beautiful! I love how you chose to quilt it but then I have never seen something that you have shared here that I did not love!!!!
Almost done with this one!!!! Off to the machine…………………
Love the simple colors of this quilt. Your stitching choices are wonderful. Love the swirls and straight lines combined. Enjoy the rest of the week. Beautiful day today.
Thank you!!! Hope to get out for a walk. Prom gal coming this evening for a fitting/alteration. I had forgotten that it’s that season again!
What a great combined effort! All those little sashing pieces must have been a challenge, but they sure look good.
I couldn’t agree more! They are so perfectly matched up, too!!! Fun to quilt but not my “cup of tea” to piece!!!!! LOL!
Love the blue and white and the big stars! I see lots of work is going into quilting it just right, too. You are a star!!
(Blushing) Thank you for your sweet words. DH’s words last night were “I didn’t know you were going to do so much stitching on it!”. Kinda got carried away with the fun!!!!!!
