When the sunshine isn’t happenin’ outside…….

Then I just gots to make it happen inside!!!!! Putting aside some projects, like the “Cardinal Quilt” (way too wintry!!!), I’m heading for “Sunshine”……….the blocks are stitched and on my design wall……………………….Sunshine 004

Sunshine 005

Sunshine 006

The pattern is, once again, “The Teacher’s Pet”….a “Take 5” pattern. For the center 20-12&1/2” blocks (unfinished), you need 5- 5/8 yard pieces. This is fabric I’ve acquired over a bit of time and is a mixture of designers…from MoMo to Zen Chic. Sunny, flowers, butterflies, sunspots/rings…..what could be better on another gloomy chilly day???? The top, with the added 2 borders, finishes at 64” by 76”, a really nice size lap quilt. It’s the same pattern I used for the “Gypsy in my Soul” quilt here, here and here. The 2 borders need to be cut and the blocks stitched together. Hmmmmm, I wonder how long that will take?????? Stay tuned…………………

  1. What fun designs. It amazes me how they all work so well together. The sun is shining here this a.m. and laundry is going on the line shortly. Hope you see the sun today also, inside and outside your quilting room.

Yup…..bright sunshine here, too. No sewing today, though. Lunch in Rochester with my brother and SIL and a meeting this eve. Great day for laundry!!!!!!!

I just put the blocks together for this quilt last Friday. I need to lay them out and sew together. It is a nice easy pattern and used stash.
