Now that’s one I’ve never heard of…Morels! Here I thought they looked like sponges! Enjoy them I guess!!
They are unbelievably yummy……..sauteed in butter, of course!!! There are places that buy these, around here, and pay big $$$$$$.

How is the crop this year?
These are the first for us and it seems for others, also. They are huge this year! Tom just went to one spot for just a few moments to get these. Almost an inch of rain with the warmer temps works wonders!!!
Mushrooms of some kind?
Morels. The warm weather and rain has finally resulted in these. Around here they can be sold for $$$$$$. We enjoy them ourselves, though.
Dont think I could do it….but I bet they are good anyway.
They are so good……..even before the ton of butter!!!! YUM!

We will. I will cook them in a small crock pot with lots of butter and then freeze them. They turn out like fresh when defrosted! And, yes, they are ugly!!!!
