THE day finally arrived…………….

Yup……graduation. Grandson #2 . The ‘requested gift’ (after seeing brother’s graduation quilt last year, here) has been given with great appreciation expressed!!!!! Aaron's grad. cake - quilt 003

The “Man of the Hour”………………………….Aaron's grad. cake - quilt 002

Today was cool, overcast, a few moments of sprinkles, but perfect for the open house/gathering.

The ceremony last eve was just “something that had to be gotten through” (according to a certain ‘someone’!) to close out these years spent in the Houston (MN) schools.

The quilt is awesome, such a fun and personal gift! Our kids great aunt made them all a quilt for their graduations as well. Something they will always cherish, as I’m sure your grandson will too!

  7. Congratulations to Aaron and his parents. Always a wonderful occasion to celebrate. You got some great grad shots. And that quilt, oh, my, no wonder there was raving.

But I’m wondering, why Houston Hurricanes? Because of the “H?” The mascot seems totally unsuited for Minnesota.

    • treadlemusic says:

True ……. perhaps “Tornadoes”??? I think the double ‘H’ was the inspiration and the devastation that hurricanes bring upon everyone/everything in their path. I’m glad it’s something as innocuous as this in the “enlightened” age of ethnic ‘sensitivity’!!!!!!!!!
