Quilt groups have many facets. They serve to instruct, critique, “push” our comfort zones, provide camaraderie and build relationships and friendships that wouldn’t otherwise happen due to the fact that life paths would probably not intersect.
Yesterday’s coming-together was just such a time and here are a few glimpses at what has been accomplished in the last month by these talented ladies…………… ”Lottery Blocks” assembled into a top/’flimsy’.
Rosemary with her completed top and runner put together from the “Friendship” blocks we made for her (using the pattern she provided). This will be her bed quilt and was inspired by the framed needlework that hangs above her bed.
Recent ‘new-comers’/mother & daughter……both have caught the “quilting bug”, but Maria (daughter) has really taken off with it, helping with color choices and completing the black/white/red quilt herself. Mom treated her with having a long-armer quilt it with puppy paws……..so cute!!!!
That’s wraps it up for this month. Til next time………..
