A sweet little flannel………….

Baby quilt that will be gifted soon to a yet-to-be-born little boy. I just love doing these little stitchings! Cloud soft flannel, both pieced top and backing, will be a cherished addition to the future layette. The client’s request was that the center block contain the letter ‘M’ and that it be in such a way that the quilt could be reversible. This is what I came up with…………056   I think this will work out ok. The letter is not done in a “directional” fashion, 057 so it will be just fine when the quilt is flipped over. I went with a loopy cloud motif…….soft as the fabric.059   Awesome texture!!! I’m really pleased with it. Some close-ups………………………….060

062063      A peek at the back.  This one was a bit difficult to photograph as the colors were so “low volume”.064

The quilt’s dimensions are 38”x 46”. Thread used: for the “M”…Robison-Anton rayon, “Sun Blue” (top thread) and Isacord poly, “Summer Gray” (bobbin). The rest of the quilt was done with Sulky Viscose (rayon) in Ecru (top thread) and Connecting Threads Essential Pro poly in an off-white.
