#1 of 3………………

QOV (Quilts of Valor) completed. 070    This is another one of those ‘you need to see it “in person”’ quilts.

071 072 073 075   Interesting choice for the backing (above photo) but it really does work. Thread used, once again, Connecting Threads Essential Pro poly, 70wt in “Turkey Red”….both top and bobbin thread. “Vine swirl” is the quilting pattern. This quilt was made by a gal in the larger/Spring Grove guild I belong to.

These are busy days…..for you, too???? I’m sure! Til next time……………….

I know someone is really going to appreciate this one! It’s a beauty.

  2. As I write, my brother-in-law is on his way back to the U.S. after being deployed to Afghanistan. We are so thankful for his homecoming. Quilts like this are just another way to show appreciation for those who serve. Thank you.

  3. Did you piece it? Design it? It’s a wonderful composition. Really well balanced use of space, value and color. Thanks for making these.

What a great way to show LOVE and Remembrance. They work hard from the heart and so did you and your group. Have a Blessed Halloween with the nicest treats no tricks. Blessings Everyone, Mtetar

Such a beautiful quilt Doreen – whomever selected fabrics did an outstanding job of coordinating colors. Our returning soldiers each deserve one of these and so much more in appreciation for their service. You’ve done your usual outstanding job at quilting! Many hugs to you this cool Texas morning…was right around 39-40 here!
