EEK! It’s November!!!! Monthly door banner………….

Yup, I’m still on a “pumpkin theme”……..This will be hung on my long-term-care friend’s (Leah’s) room door as of tomorrow morning. And, because it’s that time of year, I needed a table decoration…..pumpkin……that wouldn’t have problems with a warm environment. Enter this little cutie…..016   A fun little crafty diversion begun/completed last Friday afternoon. Some “melon” wedge shapes, felt for leaves and jute twine for the veins and, of course, hot glue! And wha-la…….let there be pumpkin!!!!!! This will ‘flow’ right through Thanksgiving, don’t you think???? (I love the dimensional leaves!!!!)

Saturday was the annual craft ‘fair’ at our local high school, having over 50 vendors this year!!!! Such a variety…….of course the ‘bake sale’ items were doing well, along with all other food related things, but it was a grand way to kick-off the beginning of the Autumn/Winter/Christmas season!!!! 019

025 A pair of seasonal pals.

026 027   It didn’t take too long to walk through and see everything but it did take quite a while to greet everyone along the way!!!! I just love living in a small rural community!!!!

On to the waiting tasks!!!!! Til next time…………………

    Rosemary B here:
We used to have a craft fair here in Loudoun County at the Broad Run High School….
We used to go every year.
This county has grown. We are not the boonies anymore 35 miles west of the Cesspool (DC)
I love Craft Fairs. So many fun people

Craft Fairs serve many purposes……along with fab ideas, they give us all a chance to come together in a somewhat leisurely setting to ‘catch up’/visit!!!!! Luv ’em!!!!!!!

  2. It’s been awhile since I’ve been to a craft show. I totally get what you mean by saying it takes you awhile to get through given all the people you see that you know. Even in a town the size of Faribault, that happens to me quite often.

Beautiful Decorations will definitely look great on any door. Blessings Always, Mtetar

I think you have more fun with your crafts than anyone I know! I’m helping a friend, a weaver, at a craft show this weekend–your post has gotten me excited to see what’s for sale!

Thanks for taking us along to the craft show! Yes, this time of the year gets you going, along with that cool crisp nip in the air!!
