The perfect combo for a perfect afternoon! After this morning’s trek to La Crosse, I got busy on my “friendship quilt”. Very good progress made………………….
And some views of the back…………………………………….
Threads used: Sulky Viscose in “Ivory” on top and Connecting Threads Essential Pro poly “Natural” on the bobbin. “Feather Swirl” (my name) is the quilt motif. It’s better than half complete. Have no fabric left for the binding…….hmmmmm…..the hunt is on!!!!
For supper…….a quick fix……popovers and chicken and wild rice with white gravy to put over.
Added a lettuce salad. Yum!!!!! Quiet tonight. A tad busy away from home tomorrow!!!! Take care. Til next we meet…..
I do believe you love to do feathers – gorgeous, simply gorgeous.
fantastic quilting… I’d love to be able to do that…
Hugz
Ummmm…..I do believe your quilting is quite “satisfactory”!!!! Love the ‘bluebird quilt’!!!!!! You are much too humble!!! Many hugs………………
I only do hand quilting but, when I see how fast you work and how pretty it is, I can see the appeal of working on a machine!
My hands won’t allow that quilting any more (used to do lots!!!) but I just am totally enamored by “machines” (of any sort!) so this machine quilting ‘thing’ is ME!!!!!
Doreen, Doreen, Doreen! The feather swirls is GORGEOUS!!!
Total quilt envy over here!
Hugs,
Esther
They seem to be the one motif that pulls me in BIG TIME!!!!! I have to keep figuring out more variations!!!! Inspiration/instruction from Wendy Sheppard (Ivory Spring) and Jamie Wallen (YouTube videos) have been crucial in my learning the technical points about feathers. Thanks so much for your very sweet words, Friend!!!!! AND your stitching is certainly not shabby, either!!!!!!!! Hugs across the pond…………………
your quilting is fantastic! and dinner looks amazing!!
I so value your eval on my quilting (as you have been my inspiration for a very long time!!!!!!!). Aren’t popovers the best??? And they make an ordinary meal special. I do these cuz I can’t seem to make good biscuits to save my soul!!!!!! Sigh……………… (Maybe cuz I live in southern MN not the southern USA!!!! ROFL!!!!!!!)
Now that’s a great way to end a creative day. Looks really yummy. Blessings Always, Mtetar
It was and the best part is there are leftovers enough for another meal!!!!!!!! More sewing time/less supper prep time!!!!!! LOL!
