Yesterday was my guild gathering…once again. Where do the months go?!? It really seems like I was just there! A photo recap of the sharing time…….once again, “over the top”! Last month’s workshop had the participants turning denim ‘bib front’ coveralls into the cutest aprons ever. Well, this group of ‘over-achievers’ continued the fun (gift making?) and the results are darling………013 016

In the above/right photo, the gal second from left is the creator of all those red-ruffled aprons.

024 Carol just can’t seem to stop with the apron making! But is far from limited to such and finished up her Sandi Irish (pattern) wall hanging…’s 7 feet tall!!026 And, of course, with any of these projects comes left-overs and she immediately took care of even the smallest (1” strips) turning them into this cute little pillow…………….027 But there were larger pieces, too! So another creation materialized! 028 I think she finished off those fabrics!!!!

QOV (Quilts of Valor) are always needed for the next presentation next Spring. 005   Barb had done/shared this pattern last month and just couldn’t stop with just 1 finish!!!!

007 Destined for the nearby Ronald McDonald House.

008 009 Pam (immediate left) is in gift making mode. Wrapped line mats with napkins to match……several! And a beautifully done t-shirt quilt finish………………….011 She did not stabilize each of the knit t-shirts before sewing but carefully added the block borders and it worked perfectly. AND she quilted it herself!!!!!! Yay, Pam!!!!!!

017  Lori (left) did a fab job on this completion. I’m anxious to see her finish!

Once again, Mary showed how she really mustn’t sleep between each of our meetings with the quilts she completed……….and hand quilted (the large one is hand done!)……………..019020 A very sweet baby gift for a friend.

Yvonne has been busy, too. “I Spy”/Ronald McDonald quilts…………….021 022

And the binding is now on her “Asian Quilt” that I quilted for her…………………………023

029 One last small finish by Carol, made from a little package of “Quilter’s Candies” she received as a gift a while back. These were 6” fabric squares, each wrapped as a piece of candy in cellophane. She found this small quilt pattern where the smaller rectangle in one block is the larger rectangle in another block! Very clever!!!!

Gift making is approaching fever pitch!!! How are you doing with all that’s swirling in your heads???? Til next time………………………….

Isn’t it just amazing!!??!!! And, just like you with your fab writings, we are just “driven” to do this!!!!!! But such special gifts MUST be shared and therein lies the joy!!!!!!

You have the most amazing guild. I always enjoy seeing your projects – if only I didn’t live on the other end of the country. 🙂
