    Rosemary B here:
    Oh yeah…. haha boo hoo.
I live in Northern Virginia (farthest west from the cesspool though) and our wind chill is 5ยบ
It is 23ยบ though…. and the sun is out. we have had snow, but no big deal. every one here in No Va goes nuts though when it snows….
    Are those hot buns? yum.
So I read on Lori’s blog you are getting out of Dodge – Are you coming to visit meeee?
Have a super fun day. I am going for my daily visit the oldsters soon, bringing some hand sewing for maybe I have some time….

Sorry, dearheart…..headed due South to Corpus Christi/Brownsville, Texas. Temps in the 50’s seem “tropical” right now!!!! Checking on spots to do future “snowbird” time either with our 5th wheel or….well, not sure, what’s for sale as a “turn-key” purchase. Will be fun to explore, though!!!

Similar temperatures for us plus 100 mph winds.
    As for the picture. Yum.

    • treadlemusic says:

Those winds are almost hurricane/typhoon speeds!!! Yikes!!!! I’ve been baking all our bread for some time now and today was a good day to help heat by baking, dont’cha think????? LOL!

      • witchylin says:

What better than warmth and the smell of bread baking? Eating the warm bread warms the inside too. The winds here have dropped but are expected to come again tonight, Scotland has had the worst of it. It gusts at 100 mph so doesn’t blow like that all the time, well not yet anyway! Off out in the sun that is shining now with my dog for a bracing walk, then home to some serious quilt designing by the wood burner. ๐Ÿ™‚

        • treadlemusic says:

“….by the wood burner”…..perfect!!!!!! 40 mph+ winds tonight here with sub-zero temps and snow—–all adds up to black ice and ugly driving!!!! Staying put and quilting…………

  4. Thread crazy says:

Well down south here our temps stayed in upper 30’s all day with wind staying 35-45 mph! That kept the wind chill stayed right around 18-20! Believe it or not, we even have freezing rain in forecast for Friday. Good baking weather I say!

  5. Jackie says:

Cold indeed, crazy cold, but I still like winter ๐Ÿ™‚

  6. KerryCan says:

It must be even colder today, isn’t it? It’s minus 16 here right now and I think you have it worse. Brrrr . . .

  7. I’m thinking of doing some baking today for the sole purpose of warming the house.

  8. Beth Ann says:

We had a blizzard!!! How about you? It is so cold here this morning I am thinking I need to bake some bread as well. I am thinking cinnamon rolls……

    • treadlemusic says:

Actually, I was just saying to Tom, it’s warmer here at the moment (+2F!!!!) than it has been and the winds have dropped a tad. We didn’t get the inches of snow that was originally forecast—-very thankful! The plow has been by several times, though, as the drifting is quite impressive!!!! Stay warm and by all means get those carbs cooking!!!! LOL!!!!
