Paper piecing + Aurifil =

Texture!!!!!!! 004  Surprisingly, the colors are pretty accurate! This little story began here and continued here and, now, is a ‘finish’. A quick view of the back (with triangle corners for the little wood piece w/ saw-tooth picture hanger piece to be added later……see here.)……..008

Another ‘front’ view of the texture created, to complete this post……….. 003

Oooh—that is beautiful and the triangles on the back now make sense when you added that is where the piece of wood will go with the hanger. Brilliant. But then you are brilliant, Doreen! Thanks for sharing another one of your wonderful pieces.

    Hi Doreen,
My neighborhood group of the American Sewing Guild did a monthly meeting in January, 2015 on paper piecing! I forwarded this post to all the members being we just had it for a topic and this is so lovely!! Keep up the good work! Kathy, AMM’64

Hello, Kathy!!!! So interesting that your Jan. presentation was on paper piecing……..so was ours!!! Everyone made new name tags for our meetings. As you may have surmised, this isn’t my usual ‘interest path’ but doing various pattern testings has gotten me out of my comfort zone and trying new techniques.
I do hope you enjoyed your visit and thanks so much for taking a moment to leave a few words!!! Please, come again. Hugs………….Doreen

Wow, I went away for a few days and you started and finished a whole new piece! You are a force to be reckoned with!

Ha! That’ll teach ya to leave……….hehehe. I have an incredible variety of projects this month and most have deadlines that are immanent……add to that the unplanned trip back to South Texas to finalize our “snowbird” abode in mid-March. Keeps a body “hopping”!! LOL! I really do NOT know how I ever found the time to work…..this retirement is grueling!!!! But I’m lovin’ it!!!!!
