A finish…………….

For the “Asian Lanterns” quilt. It was a big one, at 96”x 98”. See here for more photos. 041

Unfortunately, I had no spot large enough to get a full shot, so here are some more block views……………

Lovely quilt. It looks similar to one in an old Fons & Porter Love of Quilting magazine. Don’t know the exact issue at the moment but it is several years old at least. It’s on my list to make “someday.”

You are very correct! The year was 2009. It’s a super easy block….and fairly large. Goes together very well and was a good choice for a “friendship quilt”. The blocks all came in pretty accurately done for size.

So it is finished at last. It is a large quilt and I bet it took some quilting. it has gone together very well and has a bright cheerful look about it.
