Small (quilt) group recap………..

In between snowstorms, here in S.E. MN, we managed a very “Spring-like” gathering. Starting off with Carol’s perfectly April-themed wall quilt………001

Sheri is stash-busting with this one…………………….003

Hiding behind her latest finished “flimsy”, JoAnn has been busy…………………………004    I believe she said this was an older Connecting Threads kit.

Joan continues her original creation for her grandson……005

Marilyn’s chicken/rooster placemats echo her latest passion………..006

And Twyla, the ever busy one, has a stack of completed wall quilts to share. (Note: Her craft business/talents are huge and extensive!)………..007

And today we woke up to another few inches on top of the somewhat melted 9” we got last Sunday/nite…………011

Think warm thoughts (this for all those in my little “boat”) and let’s go stitch…………………………

We all have been thinking of warm weather here in Michigan! Can’t wait for warm weather to get the bike out and ride! My husband drives a 2012 Honda goldwing, I’m the b on back. Ride safe!

Just waiting…….more sand/salt dumped after this last freezing drizzle/rain!!!! Praying for warm temps and a thunderstorm!!!!!!! I/we “feel your pain”!!!!! Hugs…………………..

Snow! Yesterday we had snow in the rain. Spring is here today, warm sunshine cleared the early morning frost quickly. A too nice a day to stay in and quilt but I have a quilt to complete by April 13th which will not sew itself so I just have to stay in and get on with it. 😦
Great pictures again. I do like the chickens and the quilt Joan is making for her grandson is inspirational.

Joan’s quilt is amazing. I’ll get close-up shots next time. Many “critter” cut-outs to be added for the little (5 yrs. old) GS. Glad you enjoyed them and praying for warmer temps for all of us!!!!! Hugs……….

  3. More snow here, too. So I am in your boat.

Love your barn, BTW. Yes, it caught that in your snow image.

As always, these quilters create the most amazing art.

    • treadlemusic says:

Yes, I think the snow was a bit more wide spread with more possible Saturday night (for us)! Great quilting weather…..but……. Noticed the barn in the distance after taking the shot. Was more interested in getting the daffodils in! Hehehe!

Interesting and lovely to see what everyone has been doing – and also the pictures from your previous post too. Thinking ‘warm’ thoughts for you!!

    • treadlemusic says:

Oooo…..thanks so much for the warm thoughts, Raewyn!!!!! I so appreciate them!!! And happy you liked the photos! Off to work on a (Christmas!) panel that I showed in my last “mini-shop-hop” post (Viroqua quilt shop). A bit of quilty play…………….many hugs……..

  5. Lovely quilts – you’ve all been busy! I can’t believe you’ve had MORE snow!!

Sigh…..I know! 9″ last Sunday and another 4″-6″ last night! Ugh!!! Being busy keeps the focus on better things!! LOL! This is an industrious group, though!!
