In the midst of “life” (seriously ill quilty friend and Grandson #2 birthday this weekend), I have managed to come up with some thoughts/sketches for the little (19”x14”) piece I posted about here. I am thinking this will give me more opportunity to do the stitching I absolutely adore……..micro-stippling/”scribbling” (Cindy Needham’s term) with Ms Juki. It’s a small piece so I’ll have to “keep a lid” on the number of motifs (not good at that!!!!).
The other little(?) item on my agenda…..in the midst of a very miserable heat/humidity wave……..is fulfilling GS #2 request for homemade sandwich buns for his b’day gathering on Sunday.
Tomorrow morning we pick up friends in Winona who have traveled by train to Seattle. I’m anxious to hear how their trip went. Trains were my transportation of choice years ago (since I did not drive til I was 21 and needed to get from St. Paul to Duluth for a job I had). Both of my grandpas were train conductors and I grew up spending much time at the St. Paul train depot. Wonderful days!!!
Another weekend awaits and I hope you have some special summery plans. For me, Monday brings a quilt guild meeting and, I hope, this month some photos! Blessings all and “see” you back here next week………………..
Like Fiona I love the design too. hose buns look good enough to eat. LOL Any samples?
That was supposed to read “Those” not hose. 😦
Wouldn’t it be such fun to gather for a proper tea?????? The sharing and quilty talk would be non-stop!!!!! Uber hugs flying your way…………………………..
It certainly would. Maybe one day…………..
I love the design you have come .up with… I’d like to do more Cindy type quilting too and have got some lovely pieces of fabric to play with…. just wanting more time and I procrastinate a whole lot about it….
Hugz
I really do understand the “procrastinate” part! Those first few stitches are the hardest to do but once done I wonder why it took me so long to get going!!!!???!!! Hugs to you…………..
Happy Birthday to him you all kindly pass the leftovers please. Be Blessed, Enjoy and Be Safe, Mtetar
You are so funny!!!!! but thank you 🙂
You’re most welcome, Doreen! I couldn’t help but to ask it looks Soooo Good. Blessings Always, Mtetar
I’m sorry to hear about your seriously ill friend. Knowing you, you have been a great support.
The buns, oh, the buns. They look incredibly good and I can understand why the grandson requested them.
Interesting to hear about your train connection…
Thanks for all. The sandwich bun recipe has a flavor as yummy as Parker House dinner rolls……amazing….easy!!!!!!
