Of yesterday’s quilt meeting in Spring Grove (MN)……………..
This super neat creation was purchased at a thrift shop. The bodice/sleeves are one sweater and the collar and lower pieces are sweater pieces/parts that have been serged together.
And, lastly, some lottery blocks from ‘30s prints. (A pattern is given out and those who wish to participate make 1 block. For each block made, you have a chance for the drawing when there are enough made to complete a quilt…..usually 30-35 blocks)…………………..
Now it’s definitely time to go quilt!……
Oh how I love all these pieces 🙂
This group pieces summer and winter! Lots of QOV, too!
Great pictures you have shared with us. So many wonderfully talented ladies. I love all their creativeness.
They are amazingly talented and most all that they create are donated/gifted!!!! Inspiring for sure!!!!!
I am always amazed at the creativity of these quilters. Especially of note this time are the jacket made from dresser scarves and the upcycled sweater. And, oh, those quilts. I would love to own any of them.
The sweater/jacket/waistcoat was the “hit” of the gathering. And she paid only $30 at the thrift shop!!!!! The embroidered pieced jacket is so typical of this gal’s talents…….her needlework talents are impeccable!!!!!!
Thanks for sharing. Those gals get so much done. So creative.
Aren’t they amazing???? Kinda like you (especially on summer break!!!!!)!!!!!!!
