“UffDa Fest”……the quilty side, that is………..

This past afternoon was spent at Spring Grove’s (MN) “Fest Building”, with my trusty Ms Juki (Juki TL2010Q) doing micro-stippling and sharing my love of FMQ…..the time flew by!!!!!!!! (See previous post…) The viewers were few but extremely enthusiastic. IMG_4228

A peek at the vendors who kept me company and delighted those fabric-addicted loving attendees……

the Forest Mills Quilt Shop (Postville,IA). Their Fb page is here.IMG_4232

For a change of pace, There’s Becky Moldenhauer, of LaCrescent (MN) who does beautiful primitive rug hooking with her dyed woolens, named The Wool Stash.

IMG_4231   She has taught rug hooking at various area events…….

A very relaxing afternoon, for me, demoing, visiting and surrounded by lovely quilts……….all for sale or, as in the case of this first picture, to be raffled off by a local organization!!!!!!! A few photo shots……………….

Looks like a great show – hope today is busier for you – at least you are getting some quilting done 🙂

  3. KerryCan says:

That’s a great photo of you! Lots of interesting things to see at this show–why do you think there were few people there?! I LOVE the cathedral window quilt. Having made a smaller version, I cannot imagine selling it, even for $15K!

    • treadlemusic says:

I can’t imagine making, then selling, such a creation either!!!!!! I think that most ppl were still in “work week” mode and today is going to be BUSY!!!!!! So looking forward to it!! Camera at the ready………hugs………….

  4. Jan Baethke (Killer Bees in Harlingen TX) says:

Your post had lots of familiar places and names. My husband grew up in Cresco, IA, and he has/had lots of aunts and uncles, and Grand-parents (Schlee) in Postville; also, there was a family of Moldenhauers in Elk River, MN…my home town. Oh, and an Aunt and Uncle Timmerman from Decorah, IA.

    • treadlemusic says:

Hello, Jan!!!!! I didn’t realize all your “connections” here!!!! Such a small world, hmmmm?? Since I’m actually from the Twin Cities, I don’t know a whole lot of ppl outside the Houston/Spring Grove vicinities but the Schlee/Moldenhauer names do have a definite presence around here!!! Will be headed your direction right after Christmas!!!!! Hugs and “Hello” to everyone there!!!!!……………
