Weekend projects….continued……..

As Monday morning dawned, DH was busily off-loading the truck (carrying our camper site pieces & parts….see previous post here). We’ve had a bonfire area off a ways from our home and positioned so the “feel” was that we were away from home!

Minus our 2 bicycles, we’re ready to do a bit of upgrading to the old fire ring………

It has served us well over the years but the campground set-up was much nicer! You’ll have to trust me on this as I can’t seem to locate supporting photos!!!!

While demo-ing over the weekend at UffDa Fest/Festival of Quilts, I worked on a ‘linen’ napkin I had picked up at a consignment shop a couple of weeks ago. Some progress was made, in between all the talking/visiting that was required er…..occurred

It was a printed floral…..perfect to give the illusion of applique, once micro-stippled. Looks very complex but not!!!!!!

I hate seeing the photos of summer ending at the campsite! I’ll be missing our outdoor time, too–and it’s happening too soon!

  2. We haven’t had a fire all summer in our portable fire ring. But now that the basement project is nearly finished and some beautiful autumn evenings are upon us…

All the pictures of the quilts and your goings on have been very interesting. What are you going to do without a camper? The fire pit will be a nice memory of the times you spent at the river.

I’ll be posting about this past weekend soon. I found that it was becoming somewhat of a “treadmill”…….home for 4 days (always planning for the weekend and trying to get the needed tasks done) and going to the RV on Fridays for 3 days (with the upcoming week’s schedule always in the back of my mind) and then repeating this every weekend. Although it was relaxing, it was, also, putting me in “planning mode” constantly. Plus, we have the TX place for part of the year…….AND I love our little farm place!!!!!!
