To continue yesterday’s progress (here), and looking very good…….
This was a block-of-the-month, sponsored by JJ Stitches of Sun Prairie,WI. Quite a stunning pattern, don’t you think?? My client had to work through a few errors in some of the kitted blocks, which added an unnecessary level of anxiety to the quilt’s construction, but the end result is amazing!!! Need some more proof?????
And, yes, that’s the back!!!!!! So nice!!!
It was picked up last eve with many smiles of appreciation.
But wait!!!! Her quilt buddy came along with her and brought the backing for…………her version of this same quilt……more FMQ fun ahead, for sure!!!!!
Thread: (top) Glide poly; (bobbin) Connecting Threads Essential Pro poly (70 wt).
The batting provided was by Fairfield (a cotton/poly) that was somewhat of a challenge. I’ve not had positive experiences with this brand in the past. The uneven, thick/thin, texture is found in most all the batts I’ve come across, so be aware of this if you purchase something from that company.
Now, on to the day. Til next time…….
What a different design. Your quilting truly sets it off.
Thanks……I’m curious to see how the next one turns out!!! LOL!!!!
Neat quilt design–I like the way it’s so scrappy and appears to be just sort of fitted together in a random way, although I know there’s nothing random about it!
This piecing was definitely not for the beginner! “Moderately challenging” would be my guess.
Wow! So beautiful! I love your feathers!!! Keep on stitching… 😉
Will do!!!!!!
What an Awesome job you did! The quilt is gorgeous!!!
Esther
Thnx so much, Esther!!! The hardest part was seeing the black thread stitching as I did it but the finish was so worth it!!!! Not sure of the color thread I’ll use on the next one!!!!!!
It will be interesting to see her friend’s version. You possess much patience and artistry, my friend.
It will be feathers but a little different style ( I think at this point…….). Thanks so much, Friend!!!! Hugs…………….
You really captured the colors and quilting! Can you send me the name of the Juki contact?
Thanks again for your gift of quilting Magic!
WOW this is very pretty
Oh, I wish you could see it “in person”!!!! Thanks so much……hugs……..
