Bloggy meet-ups………………..

Are always special, especially when the timing and “orchestration” of such moments seem to just ‘fall into place’ and were ‘meant to be’!!!! A little background………a few years back DH and I took an East Coast trek and managed several bloggy friends’ meet-ups that I’ve treasured during the subsequent years. One of those was with my dear friend, Wendy Sheppard/Ivory Spring blog. You may read more about that here. This time, we were on a shorter trek to Northern Indiana which coincided with an event that was being held in the close by town of Ft. Wayne. The event was sponsored by Annie’s Crafts Store, an on-line video teaching venue, with a variety of topics available for purchase. Wendy has been an instructor for them for a while and her class has been very popular. Anyhow, time together seemed to be a possibility and the arrangements/timing was set-up. We met for supper last Friday evening and had a glorious time of non-stop visiting and catching up!!!!!! Supper was at a really neat place called the Dash-in. Awesome ambience and food (obligatory food photos following………)

I caught him a bit by surprise. He really did enjoy his time with Wendy and me…..even jumping into the conversations (when he could!!! LOL!!!).

Find Wendy’s most recent book Creative New Quilts and Projects from pre-cuts or stash at Landauer Publishing’s site.

We continued on, from Ft. Wayne, to Bunker Hill, IN, to visit a friend and then homeward on Saturday afternoon/early eve. A wonderful time/trip!!!!! Now, on to the first November (!!!!!! eek!!!!) week…………………

A lovely way to say goodbye to October and hello to November with its cold foggy days, bonfires and lots of quilting. Meeting up is always fun and it is obvious you enjoyed the get together.

Sounds like a sweet meet-up. Always fun to meet those who you’ve never met, but feel like you already know them!

  4. So glad you were able to meet up with another bloggy friend. Tom is great. Randy and I think so.

I’d say from the pic of DH he may have been a little anxious to eat! Glad you had a great time.
