On the garage project. This has been behind from the very beginning, due to the fact that we found it difficult to get the necessary concrete work done on such a small project with everyone committed to larger tasks. Once in, we took delivery of the wood/trusses and began to build last Sunday afternoon. The weather has been less than pleasant for the guys but they pressed forward. A photo chronicle of progress thus far……..
We live on a ridge top and the winds are fairly significant today (gusts possible to 30 mph!) which will make the handling of the sheathing very difficult/impossible! We’ll see how things go………………….
That looks like fun, but wind. I do not like wind. Framing is fun though.
I hope you get it up in time
They have tomorrow yet, so don’t know what’s up for the next step.
That’s some pretty quick work. And just look at the vivid green of that grass, minus snow. This is December 16, for goodness sakes. Not that I’m complaining…
I know!!!! Fast and green are a “good thing”!!!!!
It will be SO wonderful when it is all done! Good luck!
Thanks. I’m stayin’ clear of the activity! (other than sitting here looking out the window!!!!…..going for some coffee!!!….37F and drizzly out!!)
Good luck, exciting project!
Exciting, yes, and a bit scary!! None of the guys are carpenters!!!!!!!!!
well hope you get it done before you leave for Texas – or before you get heavy snow
I think the goal is to have it sheathed before too long.
Amazing progress…..the builders are very determined!!!
If you only knew the “rest of the story”!!! But, yes, progress.
Good luck with those winds, Hopefully they will calm down enough for the work to be finished.
