Alert! Food post ahead………………

Yup, just what we all need…..another yummy idea! But, this family fave (all ages!) has been put together on every occasion I can think of ‘cuz it makes a generous amount that everyone seems to favor (although, when the grands were younger, I tended to eliminate the pecans, due to choking fears!). So, here we go. First a photo to whet your “appetite”!

As usual, in my corner of the world, I gather such ingredients as:

Jello: 1– six(6) oz. pkg Lime gel (I preferr the brand name…more flavor?)

1 (largest size) can Pears drained,(in whatever kind of juice!)

1—eight(8) oz. cream cheese, softened a lot!

1/2 pint heavy whipping cream (whipped) OR 12 oz. whipped topping (ex: Cool Whip)

Dissolve the Jello in 1 cup of pear juice (add water to make 1 cup, if needed). ***Allow to set at room temp to cool. Do not refrigerate as it will totally stiffen quickly!!!!!! (ask me how I know this!)

Mash the pears and cream cheese together in a large bowl.

Mix whipped cream/topping into pear/cheese mixture well.

Stir in cooled gelatin and mix well.

Add pecans.

Pour into serving bowl, decorate and refrigerate. This sets up quite firm and quickly! Enjoy!!!!

One more photo…………….

On to the next task. Where’s that list?????????????

Oh I have made this, but never ever with Cool Whip. That stuff is so awful lol
I agree, this is a crazy yummy treat
Happy Christmas to you and your bunch

How can you be so slim when you produce all these lovely goodies?
Today I have made a Courgette (Zucchini) and Dolcelatte soup, 24 fruit mince pies, two Austrian stollen cakes and Parsnip, potato and nutmeg soup. Now I am going to do the ironing and then put my feet up and look at a quilting book.
Merry Christmas to you and your family Doreen and to all the readers of your blog. 🙂
