Every Thursday is “Killer Bee” day! (see here) Business first. Next week is a shop-hop bus trek and the final details needed to be put in place. With the opening of the meeting, there were a handful of spaces left on the bus and by the end of the meeting no such vacancy!! Set! A few more bits of business and on to sharing………. (note: “thrifting” is one great pastime and, I know for myself, the thrill of the “find” at thrift/antique shops/’tag’ sales/garage sales canNOT be duplicated!!!!)……..The first gal picked up a pant/jumpsuit. Definitely potential for……
Or, how ‘bout a shirt becoming a
summer top? Or a man’s shirt becoming another (short)
sundress?? For the added length, she used the sleeves!! Yup! And then (after last week’s meeting), the gals did a workshop and made a take-along work surface….a fabric covered “folder” holding a pressing
surface, sandpaper area and cutting mat. The outer shape was pieces of hardboard that each gal had brought. Very clever and useful, don’t you think???
Just a quick word about the above quilt. The gal made it for her hubby’s deer hunting get-away spot……..any “excuse” for making a quilt, right gals??????
Love of baskets prompted the making of this quilt! Another “Winter Texan” planning for these quite cool days!!!!
Another example of aprons from men’s shirts. This creative gal is wearing the one made from the front of the shirt and holding one made from the back & yoke. Nice!!!!
One can never have too many awesome totes, hmmmm???????
After a brief break, the demos got going. Each took place in a corner of the room and were repeated/on-going. Great organization!!!!! Kudos to all!!!!!
“Secrets of a T-shirt Quilt”………
“The Perfect Yo-yo”…………..

Activity continues at our little place, too. More deliveries/installs………..
Now, I really know that this little cutie has a better ‘home’ than its spot in the “livingroom”! So, while I was doing my “quilting thing”, yesterday, the appropriate spot was
Another little area became Ms Juki
That window is going to help the lighting situation immensely!!!!!
Oh, and lest I forget, I’ve acquired a mode of transportation that is so much fun!!!! “Retro” definitely!!!!!!
So, I think I’ll leave you and go for a nice ride. Til next time………………
I’m just a wee bit behind these days, but your new group is really creative. Saw several pretty items, anxious to see more. Love your new mode of transportation, I sure love riding mine, hopefully back at it soon.
What a fun post. I want to retire too! 🙂
All Great but the totes, and the apron that looks like a halter dress is my favorite. Blessings, Mtetar
Goodness!! Those women are VERY busy! Have fun on your road trip. Love your new bicycle – such a gorgeous colour. Happy cycling!
I would have to agree with you on all points!!! That bike color is totally “dreamy” (HAD to have the ‘white’ tires, too!!! LOL!!!). DH found one in black/orange…..I told him it’s perfect Harley colors!!! Photo next week! LOL!
I don’t think you’re having enough fun! LOL!!
Got it!!!! I’ll work harder……hehehe……
Holy moly, the Killer Bees must never stop buzzing!!! I enjoy seeing all of the projects. So glad that you are getting settled and I love your new ride.

Sitting here all wrapped up in a blanket, I have to say… I’m jealous!!
Yesterday was THE perfect day!!!! Any time that the temps are mid-80s is awesome!!! Thinking about you all so often!!!! Sending uber warm hugs…………
Doreen, You have fit right in, not that I ever doubted that. I love your new bike. And your home is sure looking like yours. And all those creations are beautiful; I especially like that bird wall art. And look at you dressed for summer. Nothing like that Up North. You look great. Nice job, DH, on the photos.
Passed along the kudos to DH….says ‘thnx’! The body moves a ton better in the warm rather than frigid….for sure. I’m so glad you came by for a visit (wish it could have been “personal”!!!!!!)……hugs…………….
Thank you so much for sharing your group’s activities and projects. If I lived near you, I’d join. It’s such an amazing, out-of-the-box-thinking group.
You “nailed it”!! They are open to try/do any & every new trick or process they see……..and demo it!!!!!! I would love it if you were close!!!!!! Hugs……………
You are sure settling in very well. Have fun on your bike. Think how many pieces of fabric you can get into the basket and how fit you will become peddling around looking for quilting shops. 😉
I sure love your thinking!!!!!! I added a basket on the back fender/rack,too!!! Hehehe…………
No motor. I’m out.
How ’bout……rrrrrrooom, rrrrooooom…
