Wednesday was anything but wordless……….

In my corner of the world!!! 45 of the “Killer Bees”, some a bit bleary-eyed and not nearly caffeinated enough at the early hour of 6:15 a.m., boarded a coach bus ready to head off to Rockport and Corpus Christi (Texas) quilt shops.

  Our first stop: Rockport……….

IMG_4960 and this delightful little shop………

.. IMG_4988IMG_4962 As the gals entered & were greeted,

IMG_4964 IMG_4967 I seized the opportunity to snap some photos………………

So thoughtful!!! A lovely little ‘nosh’ of homemade goodies. The oatmeal/raisin cookies were a perfect “breakfast”! And the results of an “I just have to buy these” impulse………

Every beach must have its kite-fliers!!!!

From Rockport we journeyed on to Corpus Christ and……………….

I really did need to find some things on my “list”!!!! This shop had one of

the threads….yay! IMG_5007

An “orphan” flower garden block picked up at a thrift shop, soon to be getting some attention!

  Next up, “Heirloom Elegance” shop..

IMG_5002 I will have to interject that 45 gals really enliven the interiors of these shops!!!!!!

We headed to Jo Ann Fabrics and the photos, well to put it bluntly, there aren’t any! But I finished my

little list………….IMG_5009 And it was homeward bound. The day was extra fun as there were several activities planned for the ride itself. Huge thanks to Diane…..and Jan!!!!

Looks like you are back from your bike ride… Or was it too windy? Sorry I didn’t get the info to you on the pork tenderloin, but they are so good… And huge at The Riverside by Chimney RV park south on Conway between McAllen and Mission, on the Rio grande River. We split one and bring half of the tenderloin home. Did you spot the JoAnns?
