Of our “Winter Texan” time, I enjoyed another awesome “Killer Bees” weekly meeting. Beginning with a heartfelt ‘Thank You’ to Jan (right), who (with her many behind-the-scenes helpers) tirelessly facilitates and coordinates the group’s agendas, moving to the necessary announcements/updates to a seemingly endless number of shared finishes! On to the photo recap of the meeting and workshop that followed……………..
A couple of pillowcase dresses (2 of many) donated to a small Mexican community just across the border.
More finishes (above) from a recent workshop
. A “One Block Wonder” that’s as pretty on the back (below) as on the front!
A recent workshop finish (“Fractured”) that took a different direction!
A tote that allows for some serious “shop-hopping”!!!!
A finish that will soon enhance a summer lake home.
And a very special gift for a special granddaughter…………
The silhouettes were enlarged/taken from one of the prints contained in the quilt and appliqued on!!!!! Beautiful work and amazing idea!!!
A very original row quilt designed with/taking its cues from the fabric piece just below the large butterfly appliques. We were assured that (as of now) there will be no pattern available in the future!!!!!
This finish is a large queen and quilted, by the maker, on her DSM (Domestic Sewing Machine)!!!!! Yes!!! You read that correctly!!!!
Now………can anyone guess what this little, antique cutie is??????
It is hand operated and meant to be secured by screws to a surface.
. It’s a “pinking machine”!!!! So fascinating!!!
On to the “3-D Block” workshop, inspired by a book by Karen Combs.
Though the weekly attendance is dwindling, the enthusiasm certainly isn’t!!!!!
One more meeting left for me……..sigh…….. Til next time, sending hugs……………….
Know you are going to miss these ladies..just long enough to regroup and bring back more projects! Love that one-block wonder quilt, very pretty. Have a similar one going for hubby that I must get finished. hugs…
Such an active prolific bunch you have found, lucky you!
Oh how true!!!! One more meeting……sigh……….
I want the quilt in image #5501. Of course, I would take any of these. Lovely, lovely work.
LOL! Amazing artistry for sure!!!!!
The Tote and vest my choice. Best Always, Mtetar
Hugs……(luv the vest, too!!!!)
Thank you for all of your postings! It’s so nice to see if I have to miss a meeting. Or to see again!
You are going to miss those killer Bees. I am sure you will return next winter with lots of new ideas for show and tell.
