Check this post to see this project’s beginnings. The colors in the above photo are quite accurate!!!!!

Now, on to the island. With temps forecast to be in the mid 80’s and sunny, the motorcycle is the perfect transportation……..hmmmmm??? Lunch at “Dirty Al’s” is my goal (blackened shrimp taco—-always!!!!!). See ya later……………

Wonderful! I love barn quilts. We visited South Padre Island nearly 10 years ago. We were staying at Port Aransas and has checked in for a month. It was so windy, we decided to move on before time was up. Still, it was a fun visit, and a completely out-of-sync-with-stereotypes of Texas.

  4. Have a great day biking and dining and soaking up the sunshine, which is currently non-existent in Minnesota. The “barn” quilt is looking great.

  5. It looks beautiful! It’s always a good day to go to South Padre!

I love how your barn quilt is turning out! People around here are taking a $45 class to make one and learn the process.

Yes…..that’s the $$$ around our MN place, too. It does work out well, as the paint $$$ mount up (unless you have more projects in mind.). I’m using a friend’s paints who took such a class and the cans appear not to have been touched at all!!!! So little is used!!! It’s not hard to do but you must use exterior grade everything!!!!
