Sometimes they come in pairs………………

Babies, that is. A friend just had twins! They are ‘fraternal’ not ‘identical’!! Healthy bouncing baby boys! Quilts……..they must have quilts!!!! IMG_5779  With cute backing……………IMG_5785  And, #2…………….. IMG_5783  With backing……………….IMG_5784

I love panels for “whole cloth” stitching BUT the type that requires you to cut them apart and rearrange the resulting blocks is a royal pain (usually). Why??? Well, they, most often, are printed off grain or stretched askew so badly that no amount of steaming or washing or pullin will give the desired correction. And these were no exception! Definitely not for the beginning piecer. I did manage to ‘whip’ them into submission (somewhat!) so that the finished top will not appear too much “out of whack” when washed.  Now, to commence with the sandwiching and quilting…………………stay tuned……

What fun quilts these will be! I am with you on the cut apart panels – so often they really are a test of persistence!
