Don’tcha just love those words??!!! To the beginnings of this little piece, see here, here, here, here and here. Sorry ‘bout all the links, poor organization on my part….thanks for ‘persevering’!
Anyhow, here we are…..another Friday and this……………..
Have an awesome weekend! I’m off to work on this little ‘50s number—-one that I grew up with!!!!!! (Please, note that I did not refer to this one as “vintage”!!!!!)
Thread: (top)Invisifil,100wt; (bobbin) Connecting Threads Essential Pro poly,70wt. Batting: Hobbs silk over cotton/poly,80/20.
Simply gorgeous!
Thank you, Ms KrisR!!!! Hope all’s well in your colorful neck of the woods!!! Sending uber hugs………….
Lovely, as always. and you have sun!
Yes….and this weekend is promising to be a perfect one!!!! Monday will switch over for a week of T-storms!……But today………..:-D
You never cease to amaze me… it’s just lovely!
Why…thank you so much!!!! I think I’ve found a “vintage niche”!!!! LOL!!!! & hugs……….
What a masterpiece! You keep outdoing yourself!!!
Thank you, my friend…….It’s so much fun that I surprise even myself with the finish! No kidding! Mucho hugs winging your way…………………….SSAB
This looks amazing. Your quilting is fantastic. What a wonderful way to give new life to a vintage piece. Look forward to seeing how you quilt the ‘non vintage’ piece.
Thanks so much!!!!! This next piece is so different……much more simple…….a great “launch” piece (launch not lunch!!!! LOL!) that, hopefully, will entice others to try it!!!!!!
That came out really nice! I hope you have a great weekend!
Thank you!! Tomorrow my machine quilter group meets (a bi-monthly schedule) and Sunday church and visiting with campground friends at Pettibone (LaCrosse)..Awesome!!!! Enjoy your days, too……..hugs…….
so very pretty…are you bringing that down to tx?? would love to see it in person…awesome job…!!!
Absolutely!!! I will bring all the projects (of mine) ….. these vintage pieces are multiplying!!!! I will NEVER live long enough!!!!!! ROFL!!!!!!!
I am studying the even stitch length…mine are still too small most of the time….the table topper is beautiful, but I’m holding out to see the new project, it just reminds me so much of my aunties. 🙂
This new one is probably rated “polar opposite” of the “Tulips”……a great ‘starter’ vintage! And, yes, matching your hand & machine speeds are tricky!!! Not always looking good on my end either!!!!! LOL!!!!! hugs…….
abso blooming beautiful.
LOL! Luv your sweet words!!! Uber hugs….
Love this one. The center part is spectacular! Can’t wait to see what you come up with with the non vintage piece. 🙂
This next one will be an example for those just thinking of “sticky their toes in the vintage waters” of quilting. Simple(er) and very straight forward. I so appreciate your kind comment! Hugs comin’ at ya from a “missin’ you in the Midwest” gal……
I just can’t understand why the new project is not getting the title “vintage”. LOL only teasing you. You are not vintage, not yet any way. 😉
Hehehehe…….there are those days, however!!!! LOL! This one was an “everyday” cloth that must have been labeled the “go-to” cloth!!!!! Thanks for the encouraging words……..hugs…….
