First up: the garage project. Began last April (see this post) and not-so-rapidly advanced to this and then this Spring became this, is now THIS…….. The siding is coming along nicely as DH works on it between the recent deluges!!!!
But……inside our little abode there are visits……..yes!…….a Harlingen, Texas, visitor (with her daughter & granddaughter who live in Princeton,MN)…………. Jan is the coordinator of my Texas quilt group, the “Killer Bees”…….don’tcha just luv that name?????? Shop-hopping their way through Iowa, no less!!!! Many stash additions were secured!!!!! And such fun to have them stop by on their way back North to Princeton!
Along with that phenomenal visit yesterday, I managed to sandwich 2 military quilts (from my Spring Grove group) and quilt 1 of them…….yup, I’m on a roll!!!!!!! Some (marginal) photos to follow. Sometimes these quilts have a few “issues” so the stitching motifs are a tad limited.
A simple double arc worked well and created some nice texture. On to the second one now………….
Thread: (top) Rheingold by Madeira poly,40wt;(bobbin) Connecting Threads Essential Pro poly, 70wt. Batting: cotton/poly (not sure of brand).
The garage looks great! Here’s hoping for clear skies so even more progress can be made.
Glad you had such a great visit with your quilty friends 🙂
Killer Bees, definitely best group name
I know!! I hope whoever came up with that name was suitably honored/rewarded!!!!!!
So fun meeting other quilters!
Lovely quilts too!
