With these components……. and “making” the fabric for the bags these will go into………………
In the second photo, you can just kinda catch the glisten of the beautiful variegated gold metallic (#025) thread by Superior……it’s really amazing!!! The first photo is a black/white picture, so not true color! The fabric is a very deep (“Amish”) black and doesn’t photograph at all well!!! Ugh!!!! I did use Hobbs Heirloom 80/20 (cotton/poly) batting in black for this as I have found that the white/unbleached doesn’t really “beard” through but does seem to have a light ‘dusting’ of white fuzz on the top surface after all my stitching. Nothing critical but a black batt does intensify the black fabric. More on this process later when I cut a few bags. NASCAR is done for the season so my Sunday afternoons are free for the machine!!!!

Perfect gift!
Fluttery metallic feathers. Stunning
My favorite kind!!!!!! There’s something about the stark intense black that really is most effective!!!! Thanks for popping by!!!!
very elegant!
I hope what’s in my head translates to the fabric idea!!! LOL!!!!!!
Absolutely stunning! What thread do you use in the bobbin?
I use Connecting Threads Essential Pro polyester (70wt) for all/any top threads I use (on all my machines, too!). I love it for the ‘no lint’ factor!!!!!
Someone, or rather several someones will be delighted!
Hopefully…………………….
The metallic thread is a beautiful touch. It adds something….not quite sure of the right word.
That thread looks awesome on so many fabrics….even unbleached muslin is dressed up with its use!!!!!
Ah! Feathers! Looks very attractive on the black. I know what you mean about black not photographing true to life.
Yes….too much intensity, I guess. We’ll see how this works out. I cut 2 one yard pieces, sandwiched them and am stitching it to cut it into pieces that will be very simple bags.
