Yup…..that’s what’s happening here. Our Texas park/resort is thinning out. Most all the RVs that have left are French Canadians who have been here for several months and must get back across the Northern border or put their medical insurance enrollment at risk. Even the Killer Bees have a bit less to share as many are prepping for the trek home, or elsewhere. BUT, inspiration is still to be found and UFOs/WIP (Unfinished Objects/Works In Process) are being moved closer to the finished category!
A couple more Bargello/jelly-roll photos…… AND “Twist & Shout” projects are still making an appearance……..
The 2nd photo is pre-“slicing” as it was to be done/finished once the process was shared. Moving on…………
“Block of the Month” blocks
and…………an “oops” ‘Block of the Month’ block ‘whanna be’!!!!! A bit of ‘frogging’ (‘rip-it; rip-it’) in this one’s future.
, A beautiful raw-edge applique to finish up this post.
Have an awesome weekend with, possibly, some stitchin’ for some??? “See” ya back here on Monday with what’s up in my world. Sending hugs…
Cherry trees are blooming in my neighborhood. Date for 70% bloom in DC got moved up last week; this week it was pushed back a little because of the cold snap we’re having. Very crazy weather!!
It truly is. We, here in Harlingen,TX, have gone from hot/humid upper 80s to chilly, overcast drizzly upper 60s!! Ugh….
Hi Doreen,
Here in VA our daffodils and forsythia are all in bloon with the warm weather we’ve had; the next four days are going to be our winter–temps down in the 19 degree range and a snow event predicted for Monday and Tuesday. Yes, the weather has really been crazy!! Our Feb. was the warmest average temperature on record for here!!! Safe travels back to MN when you go! Kathy
Hello, Kathy!!!! I’ve also heard that the cherry blossoms are/could be early. I know that MN is on tap for a quite a few snow inches Sun/Mon. Winter hasn’t let go just yet!!!
It snowed here today, so another week or two in TX probably wouldn’t hurt you!
LOL! Thank you so much for that “confirmation”…..I’ll be sure to pass it along to Tom!!!!!!
Spring weather coming next weekend, but it is definitely undecided at this point!
We are back home in Kansas City…and spring is here! I cannot believe all that is in bloom all ready! And ice and snow are coming in tonight…it is Mach, right? I am sorry we did not get to meet up, but next year we must! We will still be in Brownsville at Breeze Lake. Staying longer next year!
YES…….next year!!!! Glad to know your trip was safely achieved!!! The warm temps have definitely made the Spring flowers “pop”!!!!!
Fun show and share. How much longer before you head north?
Begin to ‘think’ about it the end of this month and head out mid-April (I think!) and head for Denver, first, to visit a friend then on to Minnesota!!!!
In Canada we have provincially funded health care. If you live in another province or state longer than your home province, you risk no longer being considered a resident of that province. Six months down south plus a random week here or there travelling/visiting, would mean you’re living elsewhere more than your home province. Each province has its own minimum number of days one must reside in the province to qualify as a resident. Once you cease being a resident of said province, you no longer qualify for provincial health coverage.
(Typo in my name there. Sorry)
Thank you so much for the clarification!!! Definitely a lot on the line!!!!!
can Canadians only be out of the country for just so many months or loose their insurance? I don’t get that
The way I understand it, they can be gone 6 months (not a moment longer) and must pay for out-of-the-country insurance, too. If they are gone beyond the deadline, they have to apply for their insurance again. I don’t know of any that have gone beyond the deadline.
