Once again, it’s (fun) Stitchin’ Saturday!!!!………..

The morning was time enough to take care of the ‘must-do’ tasks which left the afternoon  fa-reee!!!!!!   Ms Texas Juki and I and a lovely little vintage linen piece. Let the micro-stippling and feathers(!!!!) begin……………..IMG_8334 - Copy (2)      I’m not exactly sure how this piece would have been used (a vanity?? small side table?? buffet/hutch??) but it’s in perfect condition so it’s time to transform it. The dimensions are 10”x 17” with one narrow edge having this sweet detail…IMG_8334 - Copy (3) I placed it directly on the batting and will bind it (very narrow!) with a pale color which will, also, be slipped behind that small lace piece. Once again I must say—-I’m blown away by the “life” that appears with this stitching technique (note the first photo….left vs right side of the embroidery).IMG_8335IMG_8334

Now…..back to the fun. What’s up in your world this afternoon???? Warm Texas hugs comin’ at y’all…………..

I totally agree that you get better control of stitches on a domestic vs that with a long arm. Beautiful stitching…its awesome.

    Fascinating!

Your stitches are so even and beautiful, I can barely find where you doubled back on the feathers….in awe!

There’s so much better ‘control’ when stitching on a domestic, rather than a long-arm/sit-down LA (I think). I know you could achieve the same IF time wasn’t such a crunch issue. Someday………………..hugs………..
