Sorry, friends, that’s the best I can do with a title for today’s post! We’ve been back 2.5 weeks and the Texas warmth has, for the most part, followed us home…..yay!!!
So many beautiful finishes!
My challenge piece is in the final stage of blocking (almost dry) and the binding, rod pocket and label will be added today……. Even after such dense stitching, in some areas, this was in better shape than many tops I’ve done.
The next client quilt is under the machine…… This is a hand-pieced beauty, made by the client’s grandmother-in-law (I believe), that is getting an E2E (Edge to Edge) paisley motif. When finished, it will have a feather-stitched effect that will add to the heirloom feel of this one……and a view of the muslin backing…….
A quick thread-painting type stitching will be added to this pretty little thing. A “fellow member” of the Spring Grove group created this one but she encountered some difficulty when it came to stitching on the flowers themselves. Multiple layers of fusible can result in skipped stitches (broken needles) and so I’m going to have some thread fun!
Well, that’s it for now. As you can see, my “up North” schedule is back in place and the stitching is at a bit of a “hyper” speed. I love your visits and, as always, send you hugs and blessings for a beautiful day!
Now……let’s go create………….
