Sorry, friends, that’s the best I can do with a title for today’s post! We’ve been back 2.5 weeks and the Texas warmth has, for the most part, followed us home…..yay!!!
Don’tcha just love all the early flowers??!!!!
Last Monday was my larger quilt group gathering in Spring Grove,MN. A few photo highlights……….
So many beautiful finishes!
My challenge piece is in the final stage of blocking (almost dry) and the binding, rod pocket and label will be added today……. Even after such dense stitching, in some areas, this was in better shape than many tops I’ve done.
The next client quilt is under the machine…… This is a hand-pieced beauty, made by the client’s grandmother-in-law (I believe), that is getting an E2E (Edge to Edge) paisley motif. When finished, it will have a feather-stitched effect that will add to the heirloom feel of this one……
and a view of the muslin backing…….
A quick thread-painting type stitching will be added to this pretty little thing. A “fellow member” of the Spring Grove group created this one but she encountered some difficulty when it came to stitching on the flowers themselves.
Multiple layers of fusible can result in skipped stitches (broken needles) and so I’m going to have some thread fun!
Well, that’s it for now. As you can see, my “up North” schedule is back in place and the stitching is at a bit of a “hyper” speed. I love your visits and, as always, send you hugs and blessings for a beautiful day!
Now……let’s go create………….
I doubt I will ever be a quilter or knitter. Too impatient! lol. But I sure do love to look at all the orrery quilts you post here :).
xxx
I struggle with the impatience ‘thing’, too…….unless….I’m doing micro-stippling/stitching….then it’s all different!!!! LOL!!!!
You’re right back at it, into the thick of quilting in Minnesota. Thanks for the show-and-tell, one of my favorite parts of your blog. 🙂
It was lovely over the weekend but the last two days wet and today dry and cold. Good weather for quilting.
Lots of lovely quilts and interesting stitching. Thanks for sharing it all.
Ur so welcome!!! Hope your weather has improved, too!!!!!
