Is the current theme these days. The last piece, finished with this post, featured this sweet handwork….. and the direction of the this next cloth is equally obvious………………….
This piece began life as a “card table” size cloth but, due to some major time-damage leaving holes in the center section, I reduced its size and we have a very nice table runner….
I was able to match the blue lace edging and the quilting should diminish the appearance of the added center seam. The ideas were many and sorted to this…………….
I used an air-erase pen to lightly sketch my idea on the cloth…… so, with a bit of “McTavishing” styled FMQ, (if, by some chance, you are unfamiliar with the Duluth,MN, quilt artist, Karen McTavish, check out her site here) it’s definitely coming along…….
This will make more sense when I show the “big picture”…..soon, I think.

Pingback: A Little Vintage Repurposing Brings Linens Back To Life - It's Just Life
It was inspiring to work with those vintage pieces. I could “feel” the history contained in each and wished that their creation story could be actually heard. Bringing them into the sunlight/giving them new life gives me pleasure beyond words. ;-D

So lovely, you never cease to amaze me!
DH says that, too!!! LOL! Not sure if meanings are the same, though…….. hugs……….
I love those designs with the anthropomorphic dishes and pots! This is going to be delightful!
This really is a treasure. I’m so happy to give it a transformation and a “new life”!!!
Adorable I love a good cup of tea, this cloth is perfect tea tray sophistication
Like that…..”tea tray sophistication”!!! ;-D
Love the tea pot A on the word tea. brilliant idea.
I wish I could take full credit but Pinterest gave me the direction so I could ‘run’ with it!!!!
How I love that finish! And the backing fabric is fabulous too. With a drawer-full of vintage linens I should try this someday, though the queen size quilts keep occupying my time.
Wow! Queen size quilts don’t give that “immediate gratification” that we all so dearly love!!!! I hope you can rescue those lovelies soon!!! Thanks for stopping by!!!! Hugs…….
this is really pretty and adorable
Thank you!!! Wow! You must have been already on the ‘puter!!!! LOL!!!!!
