And this sweet little quilt (42”x54”) was made by an enthusiastic quilter-of-tomorrow…………….she chose the thread color…..
so much fun, hmmmmm??
And the quilting pattern was decided…..(my fave!) “Funky Feather Swirl”(link includes the tutorial)…… (Click on the photo above to see more) A peek at the pin-basted version……
Stay tuned for this young client’s finish……….
Passing this art along to the next generation = fantastic.
Yes….and there are those who have such a gloomy outlook about the art……….proving them very wrong…..luv it!!!!!!
Wonderful to see the work of our next generation of quilters! Love her choice of thread for her quilt and the quilting.
She has the eye, doesn’t she?!? The ‘finish’ is stunning!
Looks like she will become quite a quilter. I would never have thought of those colours together but they certainly do look good. It is amazing what goes with what in a quilt. Should look lovely with the bright thread and the feather design. 🙂
It is awesome! Would love that one right here!! Many happy quilty days ahead, I think………….
Do I see a fair entry?! She did a very nice job piecing!
She obviously chose a purple ribbon quilter.😄
Oh, Kathy……..you do have a way with words…..hugs……………
😄
You are so smart!!!! Exactly….the fair is coming fast. Her label is made(yay!!), binding at the ready and some moments finishing some very small details. Can’t wait to see this one exhibited!!!
😉 hope she does well! Looks like she put in the time and effort!
She is quite conscientious and actually produced a top with fewer “issues” than some of my other clients. I do pray that she does well.
Me too!
I love using a contrasting, bold thread color on most every project. I think this will turn out great with your artistry!
You are very sweet…….photo finish coming soon!!! hehehe…………hugs………..
A very nice quilt and pretty quilting that you are doing.
Thanks so much, Judie! This is a winner in my books for sure!!!! 😀
