Last time I finished with the beginning of the end of the center portion/the vintage cloth itself. See here. The micro-stippling is complete. Photos…………….from this: to this:. .
.
The dime helps to see the scale of the stitching…….contrast. I can’t emphasize that enough. It’s the “punch”/drama that we all love!!!!
and, again, the contrast……
The back view is nice, too………..
Leaving you with one more “front shot”.
And the question: a ‘feather’ or ‘piano key’ border????? The green border will be 3” (piano key) to 4” (feathers). There’s a lot goin’ on in this, so, maybe a ‘piano key’ stitching?? Either would work, I believe. Hmmmmmmmm…………

This is gorgeous! Good job, Doreen!
Thank you so much!!! It really is my “thing”!!! Such a blessing to see your comment! Such busy days………Wonderful to see Gwen’s developing artist talents!! Hugs to all……………
This is beautiful! The things you do on fabric is amazing
Each one is such an individual “personality” and exciting to get to know! Part of the exciting intrigue, I guess. It truly is “my thing”….lol!!!!! Hugs…………
Gorgeous work. The backside is as beautiful as the front.
Thanks so much, Friend. The back fascinates me more than the front side, sometimes. Hope to get back to some stitching this week…..hugs…….
Outstanding. I follow your progress on all these pieces. They are gorgeous. Almost hate to see the end of each one. Weird.
I really do understand what you mean. I hate to bid farewell to these ‘friends’, too!!!! This week is the border and finish. I do have something in the wings, though (surprised??)……………………..
P.S. your quilting is gorgeous!
Awwwww……thanks so much………
What about mixing the two? I think the piano keys might look a little stark against all those feathers.
Precisely!!! I drifted off to sleep last night with exactly that picture in my head!!!!!! Hugs 🤗
Wonderful work! I am very, very impressed. If it were me, I’d go with the piano key border since you already have quite a lot of curvy going on. But like you said, either would work and if you’re making it for you, do what please you! Very fun watching theses come to life!
It will be a “trunk show” and workshop sample for the upcoming year. Thanks so much for taking the time to comment. Hugs……
This is looking beautiful!
Thank you, Sharon! Nice to have come this far this quickly! Always amazed at the “texture thing!!!”
