I’ve not finished anything I’m at liberty to share (), but I have gotten 2 things ready to stitch….sandwiched and pinned……first, the smaller one is 10”x 15” and will (hopefully) finish in short order—it’s really speaking loudly!!!
Adding texture, mainly. The underlayment is a rich brown satin-finish fabric…yum.
The second vintage piece will take many moments with Ms Sweetie!!!!
This one has been patiently waiting for a very long while to be brought to a glorious finish. Lots of feathers..everywhere! Needless to say, I’m “chomping at the bit” to get at it!!!! However, before any feathering takes place, every embroidered edge must be stitched down—yes, every one!!! All those dark edges will have a line of anchor stitching added, beginning in the center and working my way outwards. The tablecloth itself measures approx. 62”x 77”. The underlayment/pink/shrimp color has a border extension of 7” all the way around…..simply ‘cuz I have no idea what will be materializing in that area. Exciting moments ahead, I know!! I’ll be “sandwiching” this one next week (need backing!) and I’m planning on a double batt of silk over cotton/poly. Stay tuned for future developments………..
Graduation open house tomorrow will be a wonderful time of visiting. Have an awesome weekend!!!
Seriously loving the elegance of the first piece.
Thank you, my Friend…………..
Its going to be another amazing project when completed. Make your weekend blessed, Mtetar
Those are beautiful in their own right, can’t wait to see what you do with them! Have a great weekend yourself.
I have a cut work tablecloth my sis in law gave me. I’ll be watching what you do ☺️
This one will have fairly simple stitching. It’s the tiny stitching in the cutwork and stabilizing that will be a bit tedious. Thnx for popping by….
