FEATHERS!!!! Yup! And not just ordinary feathers…..glittery, gold, sparkly feathers! (To catch up on this little story, check out this post) So, using my absolute “fave” metallic (Superior Variegated Gold Metallic, #025), Ms. Sweetie and I began the transformation……. It quickly went from this:

Warning……photo-heavy posting ahead………..
The morning light adds a neat warm glow! A back view, with those leftover pieces…………………………………….
LOVE those feathers!!!
Thread: (top) Superior Variegated Gold Metallic,#025, (bobbin) Connecting Threads Essential Pro poly, 70wt. Batting: Hobbs Heirloom, cotton/poly, bleached (single layer).
The metallic is so perfect with this. I am in love with this quilting, pattern and fabric. I see you got snow. We had that for a week, but have had a beautiful fal, week in the 60’s and maybe another still. I was worried for a while. Hope you get some of these beautiful days before the snow really starts!
The temps here have been below average (like about 20F!) for so long that most are figuring an early winter. The snow is gone but so many of the crops are still in the fields because of our constant rains—way too muddy!!! On the nicer, sunny, less windy days the Asian beetles make it impossible to be outdoors—-the air becomes totally thick with them!!!!! Ick!!!
That is just no fun, I guess you will have to stay inside and quilt…….😢 😂
😉yup!!
Geese and feathers!! How cute:)! But your quilting is more than cute Doreen, it is exquisite 😊❤️
Awwww……..thanks so much! Those feathers are definitely my FAVE motif and, I guess, I will use them every chance I get (and then some….LOL!). Thanks so much for your sweet visit and comment……hugs…………………
Lovely work! I love Superior Metallic
That thread is absolutely THE best!!! I promote it everywhere I go as the only metallic (especially) to use. Thanks so much for popping by…….hugs…………..
Beautiful as always Doreen, love your work. Am sending your blog to a friend who just got a sit down machine. Hope the weather is not too bad out there, our tree’s are just starting to turn.
Oh my! Our trees are pretty much done! The winds today (45mph) are taking care of what is remaining! I hope your friend enjoys her new addition! I debated whether to use my Juki or Sweet 16 on this project, but opted for the SS. Your sweet comment is much appreciated……with (virtual) hugs comin’ your way…………………………..
