2 out of 3……………….

Borders completed. (To see the center completion, see this post.) IMG_1253 The first/narrow border was ditch stitched and will remain unquilted. The 2nd/green border is now “feathered”. Quilting on a print such as this one will not show off the actual stitching well but it is an excellent occasion to try out a motif that may not have been perfected yet! This feather stitching is one that I’ve used on narrower areas (this one is 3 & 1/2”) so I did a bit of sketchbook doodling to prep myself…..IMG_1254 I wanted this lap sized quilt to remain soft, drape-y and cozy, so my goal is to keep my motifs a bit more open and not as dense (a real challenge for me!!!). Once this piece is laundered/dried, the texture will be awesome, I am sure! A couple more photos to finish…………………….……. IMG_1251 IMG_1255 Closing in on a finish……..shortly…. Please, do stop back! Hugs……

Love it, you jazzed up what you thought was a boring fabric and made it exciting.
